
PHILADELPHIA (May 6, 2026) — Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced charges on Wednesday against Defendant Robert Littlepage, Jr., of Douglasville, Georgia, for stealing a truck, which he crashed into a playground in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday.
The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office charged Defendant Robert Littlepage, Jr. (DOB 02/08/2008) with the following:
- Robbery (2 Counts) (F1)
- Attempted Carjacking (F1)
- Carjacking (F1)
- Aggravated Assault (F1)
- Attempted Theft (F3)
- Theft (F3)
- Criminal Mischief (2 Counts) (F3)
- Reckless Endangerment of Another Person (2 Counts) (REAP) (M2)
- Simple Assault (2 Counts) (M2)
- Other related offenses
On Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, at around 2 p.m. on Elmwood Ave near 62nd Street, Defendant Littlepage attempted a carjacking before jumping into a utility vehicle that was left running at the intersection of 62nd and Reedland streets. Surveillance video shows Littlepage crashing into multiple vehicles before the stolen utility vehicle came to a rest on its side in the school yard of S. Weir Mitchell Elementary School located at 5500 Kingsessing Ave. There were children in the playground at that time but, fortunately no children were injured. Littlepage was apprehended at the scene and taken to a local hospital before arrest. This is an active and ongoing investigation.
Littlepage, Jr. was recently arrested in April 2026 in Delaware County and charged with burglary and other related offenses in connection to an incident that occurred in Darby Borough.
“The reckless behavior of this defendant put the lives of many of our residents in jeopardy, including young children on a school yard at a Philadelphia public school. We will seek appropriate and just accountability as we proceed through the prosecution process. It is a miracle no one was seriously injured, but this incident was still traumatic for those affected and the surrounding community,” said District Attorney Larry Krasner. “Our Victim Services Team is making outreach to each victim, witness and the community impacted by this horrible and preventable crime to connect those impacted with services and resources.”
