PHILADELPHIA (May 27, 2025)—Please attribute the following to a spokesperson for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office:

“The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office joins Mayor Cherelle Parker, local elected officials, law enforcement, and the Philadelphia community in extending our thoughts to victims and families impacted by last night’s deadly mass shooting.

“The DAO’s Gun Violence Task Force and Homicide & Non-Fatal Shooting Unit are working collaboratively with the Philadelphia Police Department as well as our state and federal partners to investigate, arrest, and hold every offender accountable for this horrific and senseless act of violence.

“Representatives from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office’s External Engagement & Government Affairs Division were on location last night at the scene and hospital, supporting law enforcement and those impacted by the trauma and grief of yesterday’s shooting. Today, our External Engagement Teams, including the DAO’s Community Engagement Unit, Government Affairs Liaisons, Faith-Based Liaison, and C.A.R.E.S. Unit (Crisis Assistance, Response, and Engagement for Survivors), also hit the streets of the Fairmount and Brewerytown community to bring resources and support to our neighbors, local businesses, and faith communities in the aftermath of this unacceptable and traumatic shooting event.

“Special thanks to State Representative Keith Harris, State Representative Roni Green, Councilmember Curtis Jones, and Councilmember Jeffrey Young (all of whom serve the impacted community) for joining our teams in our compassionate and immediate response to our neighbors. We will remain boots on the ground supporting our Fairmount and Brewerytown neighbors in the weeks and months to come.”
