The DAO has requested that the defendant be detained on $10 million bail. This remains an ongoing investigation.
“I am pleased to announce that my office is charging Mr. Bryant with Attempted Murder and related charges for his reckless behavior while traveling on a SEPTA bus this past weekend,” said District Attorney Krasner. “During the mayhem, three teenaged boys and a woman—all innocent bystanders—were struck and wounded. Law enforcement also believes that this defendant intended to murder others on the bus too. The Gun Violence Task Force will prosecute this case and hold Bryant appropriately accountable.
“The DAO’s Victim Services Unit is working with the survivors of this shooting to ensure they have the support and services needed to help recover from this terrible incident. And finally, I commend the Philadelphia Police Department for their excellent investigation in this case.”
