PHILADELPHIA (March 17, 2025) — Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner on Monday announced the conviction of Vincent Perkins (DOB 6/30/01) for the defendant’s role in a shooting that resulted in a 58-year-old man being injured in the city’s Strawberry Mansion section in 2022.

Perkins was convicted by a Philadelphia jury on March 14 of Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault (F1), VUFA 6106 (F3), VUFA 6105 (M1), VUFA 6108 (M1), and Possession of an Instrument of Crime (M1).

On the afternoon of March 17, 2022, Perkins and four other conspirators began opening fire on the 3000 block of Page Street, spraying the block with 76 rounds. During the shooting, a 58-year-old man, who was not the intended target, was struck in the groin and stomach. The victim walked back to his residence and called 911.

76 fired cartridge casings (FCCs) were recovered at the crime scene by investigators, who determined that four different caliber weapons were used, specifically 9mm, .380 caliber, .45 caliber, and .223 caliber handguns. Surveillance video from two locations in the vicinity of the crime scene were also located. Perkins was subsequently identified by a hooded sweatshirt he wore during the crime that was identical to one he wore in a social media photo linked to his Instagram account and later arrested in May 2022. One of Perkins’ co-conspirators has also been charged with four murders. Three others involved in the Page Street shooting remain unidentified.

Perkins is scheduled for sentencing in June before Judge Deborah Cianfrani.

“Thanks to Assistant District Attorney Ty Pittinger of our Homicide and Non-Fatal Shooting Unit for securing a jury conviction in this case,” said DA Krasner. “I also commend the very thorough investigation conducted by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group (SIG) and the PPD’s social media analysts, whose hard work created a very strong case to prosecute.”
