PHILADELPHIA (July 22, 2024) — “On Sunday, a number of people opened fire on the 1200 block of North Alden Street in the city’s Carroll Park section. They took the lives of three people and injured six others. Thankfully, those injured are recovering. I know all Philadelphians join me in condemning this unacceptable act of violence.
“I also want residents to know that my office stands ready to provide resources and support to co-survivors and others harmed by this incident. This tragedy reminds us that while gun violence continues to decline in Philly and nationwide, we as elected and community leaders still have much work to do. I thank the residents who have assisted investigators this weekend and urge residents to contact law enforcement immediately. We need your help to identify, arrest, and hold accountable the people responsible for this tragedy.”
