PHILADELPHIA (May 16, 2024) — District Attorney Larry Krasner and members of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Dangerous Drug Offenders Unit (DDOU) announced on Thursday the arrest and charging of a 21-year-old woman for her role in a fentanyl trafficking operation located in the heart of the city’s Kensington section.

Jada Williams (DOB 7/6/02) was arraigned yesterday on multiple counts of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Conspiracy, Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance, VUFA 6105, and related charges.

The defendant was arrested on May 14 after a five-month investigation conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Southeast Strike Force using surveillance of the defendant’s apartment and other law enforcement techniques. After the DAO’s DDOU secured a search warrant for Williams’ residence, located on the 3100 block of Kensington Avenue, investigators recovered approximately 1,100 packets of fentanyl in addition to various amounts of crack cocaine and narcotics packaging supplies. Law enforcement also recovered loaded 9mm and 32 caliber handguns.

A preliminary hearing for Williams is scheduled for May 29, 2024.
