District Attorney Larry Krasner Provides Prosecutorial Updates on Homicide of 2-Year-Old and Fatal Uber Car Crash

PHILADELPHIA (December 18, 2025)— Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, DAO’s Homicide and Non-Fatal Shootings Unit announced charges against Sean Hernandez (alias Raafi Gorham) on Thursday for the beating death of 2-year-old Key’Monnie Bean. On December 8th, 2025, Philadelphia Police Officers responded to a South Philadelphia home on the 2100 Block of South Beechwood Street, where officers found the 2-year-old victim unresponsive with severe physical injuries along her body. The victim was transported to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she was pronounced dead. Four individuals were identified on scene and brought in for questioning with the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit, where three of the four individuals — Sean Hernandez, Anthony Lowrie and Alycia McNeill — were ultimately charged.

Sean Hernandez (DOB 08/28/2004) is charged with the following: Murder, Endangering the Welfare of Child (F1), Possession of an Instrument of Crime (PIC) (M1), Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP) (M2), Obstruction of Justice (M2) and other related offenses. Anthony Lowrie (DOB 02/20/2004) and Alycia McNeill (DOB 09/25/2005) were charged with Obstruction of Justice (M2) and other related offenses. Sean Hernandez’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 5th, 2026.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner and the DAO’s Homicide and Non-Fatal Shootings Unit also announced charges for Joseph Cini, the defendant involved in the hit and run involving an Uber driver and passenger. On December 15th, 2025 around 7 a.m., officers with the Philadelphia Sherriff’s Department Warrant Unit arrived at the 900 Block of Watts Street in North Philadelphia to deliver a warrant to Joseph Cini. Cini arrived on the block when the officers were on location and when officers approached his vehicle, a silver Nissan, Cini reversed and fled northbound a few blocks before fatally colliding with an Uber driver and passenger. The passenger, Angela Cooper, was pronounced dead on the scene by a responding medic. The driver, Stephen Thompson, was taken to Temple University Hospital and placed in stable condition.

Defendant Joseph Cini is arraigned and will be facing the following charges for the fatality of the passenger, Angela Cooper: Homicide By Vehicle (F3), Flight to Avoid Apprehension (F3), Fleeing or Alluding Police (F3), Accidents Involving Death/Personal Injury (F2), Accidents Involving Death/Personal Injury While Not Properly Licensed (F3), Resisting Arrest (M2), Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle (M3) and other summary offenses. The defendant is also facing charges in connection to the surviving Uber driver, Stephen Thompson, for Aggravated Assault (F1), Accidents Involving Death/Personal Injury (F2), Accidents Involving Death/Personal Injury While Not Properly Licensed (F3), Simple Assault (M2), and REAP (M2).
